All yard waste being transported in trucks or trailers to the drop-off center must be properly secured with a tarp.

Open April 1st thru November 30th:
11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday
10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Closed on Holidays

Open December 1st thru March 31st:
7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday thru Friday
Closed Saturday, Sunday and Holidays

Yard Waste/Used Motor Oil Drop-Off Center

What they take at this location:

Organic Material (grass, leaves, brush, apples, garden debris, etc.) can be dropped off.  Brush can be no larger than 6 inches in diameter and 6 feet in length.

Keep Separate:

  • Grass
  • Leaves
  • Branches
  • Oil

Used Vehicle Oil

Used motor oil must be recycled. Used oil may not be poured down the sewer grate in the street or on the ground. Empty oil bottles must be placed in the garbage, not in a recycling cart. Used Motor Oil can be taken to the following locations free of charge: Yardwaste/Used Motor Oil Drop-Off Facility - New location: Entrance is on Idaho Street- just off of Witzel Avenue or at the Winnebago County Landfill, or at either of the Valvoline Instant Oil Change stores located in Oshkosh.

Brush

Brush will only be picked up at your curb the 1st full week of each month - see recycling calendar for additional information.  For pick-up, brush must be tied in bundles weighing no more than 50 lbs. and must be less that 3 inches in diameter and 4 ft. in length.  Put out on the same day as garbage pick up.

Wood Chips

Wood chips that are ground up at the Street Department are free to the City of Oshkosh citizens when available.
