The Oshkosh Seniors Center Welcomes You!
The Center is open to the public and targets its services to persons age 50+. While there is not a residency requirement to participate, there are resident and nonresident fees for specific programs/activities. Call 232-5300 for information on these fees. A wide variety of services and activities are provided through the Center yearly to more than 5,000 different people. Revenue sources for the center include the City of Oshkosh (the main sponsor), Friends of the Oshkosh Seniors Center, Inc., Winnebago County, as granted through the Winnebago County Commission on Aging, grants through local foundations, room rentals, non-resident fees and user contributions.
Parking
Parking for activities and programs is available at both the Main Facility and the Annex. The Main Facility offers a side parking lot and a front parking lot, both with handicapped parking available. Also, in front of the building, in the long diagonal stalls, there is O.S.C. parking from December 1 through March 1; other times of the year, these stalls are reserved for cars with trailers. Failure to obey the No Parking signs will result in a parking fine. A large parking lot is also available at the Annex. A blacktopped walking path connects the Main Facility and the Annex.
Dates and times of programs and activities are subject to change. Please refer to the current issue of The Current, located below and at various locations throughout the city of Oshkosh, OR call 232-5300 for more information.

Volunteers
The Oshkosh Seniors Center depends on the support of more than 400 volunteers to offer programs, activities, classes, and informational programs to seniors in and around the Oshkosh community. The gift of time and talent offered by our volunteers results in more than 28,000 volunteer hours each year. Volunteers are involved in daily operations of the Center as well as support the many special programs offered throughout the year. Without volunteers, the Oshkosh Seniors Center would not be what it is today!
Many volunteer roles exist at OSC. Examples include receptionist/greeter, kitchen assistants, decorators, newsletter folders, newsletter deliverers, chorus members, instructors, activity leaders, and committee members. Volunteer roles are also available to support special programs throughout the year, such as the flu clinic, tax aide, dances, winter and summer games, senior triathlon, and annual walk/run event. In addition, many volunteers are needed to support programs offered by the Friends of the Oshkosh Seniors Center such as the Fall Family Fun Fest, held annually in September, and other fundraising events.
Please call the Oshkosh Seniors Center at 232-5300 if you are interested in volunteering.
